Grounded in higher education and adult learning, the writing here approaches education not as a set of practices to be optimized, but as a set of claims about knowledge, authority, and judgment that deserve careful scrutiny. 


  • This blog reflects a strong commitment to higher education and a willingness to take clear positions about its role, responsibilities, and failures. The writing here is not presented as formal research, nor does it aim to replicate the conventions of peer-reviewed scholarship. It is a space for argument, interpretation, and critical judgment.


  • As a personal essay platform, the blog allows ideas to be advanced more directly than they might be in academic publication, where caution, framing, and methodological restraint are required. Here, I engage prevailing narratives, test assumptions, and articulate positions that benefit from clarity rather than hedging. The freedom of this space is not a rejection of rigor, but a different mode of it.
